Founder’s Story

Karina (full name), the founder of Bush Girl Safaris, was raised in Northern California, where she was immersed in diverse outdoor experiences and conservation projects from a young age. Inspired by her godfather, a seasoned outdoorsman and world traveller known as the “great white hunter”, often shared captivating stories of his African safari adventures. This ignited Karina’s imagination, fostering a deep desire to explore Africa and its rich wildlife and culture.

An avid outdoorswoman, conservationist, and hunter, Karina is passionate about shooting sports, sustainable big game hunting and advocates for women to explore the experiences of Africa.

She embraces a legacy of exploration and adventure, having pursued hunting opportunities across various continents. Karina was motivated by her life experiences and love for the outdoors and wildlife.

During her travels and hunting expeditions, she observed a lack of outdoor educational opportunities for women. Her commitment to wildlife conservation and cultural exchange shines through in her mission to create meaningful and enriching outdoor adventures for women around the world.
