Volunteer with a strong focus on community outreach, cultural exchange, and conservation education.
Bush Girl Safaris is dedicated to giving back to the communities we visit, with a strong focus on conservation, education, and community support.
Conservation
Bush Girl Safaris is committed to fostering an environment of education and collaboration with local conservation and wildlife rescue facilities. Through engaging programs and immersive experiences, we aim to raise awareness, promote conservation efforts, and inspire a deeper connection to our natural world. Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for learning and partnership that contribute to the protection of wildlife and their habitats for current and future generations.
Our Partner Conservation Project
We proudly support Africa Hunt Lodge and their dedicated elephant conservation efforts. By partnering with them, we help raise awareness about the importance of protecting elephants and preserving their natural habitats. Through these initiatives, we aim to contribute to the long-term survival of wildlife and promote responsible conservation practices.
Community Outreach
The Blue Bag is a symbol of grace, kindness, and the “pay it forward” spirit, encouraging acts of service wherever there is need. Since 2015, over 500 deliveries have been made, with each bag representing a personal effort to meet real needs. Instead of filling bags in the U.S., groups are encouraged to fundraise and coordinate with outfitters to purchase items locally, supporting both the community and its economy. Amy Bell Charities is partnering with Bush Girl Safaris to assist with guidance and coordination to help our group make a meaningful impact during your stay.
SCIF Bell Family Blue Bag Program
Boikanyo Orphanage Center
Founded in 2004, in Temba Township, Boikanyo is South Africa’s first public center supporting children with physical and intellectual disabilities. Bush Girl Safaris and Living to Serve, board member Adele Maynard in partnership with the SCIF Bell Family Blue Bag Program, are proud to donate essential needed items as part of our shared commitment to ethical travel and community support.

Thabang Children’s Project
Thabang Children’s Project, led by Tessa and Ethan, offers a nurturing home for children and youth impacted by HIV/AIDS and poverty. In partnership with the SCIF Bell Family Blue Bag Program and Africa Hunt Lodge, Bush Girl Safaris proudly donates essential items and our harvested game meat to support Thabang’s mission of dignity and care.
